Apply the activator solution over the paint and watch as the surface develops into a textured, characterful finish.
 
Applying the Craig and Rose Rust Activator Solution
 
Allow 12 hours of dry time for the Rust effect paint and then use a brush to apply 2 coats of the Rust Activator solution over the dry Rust Effect paint. The effect will immediately begin to develop within 20 minutes and continue to do so over time, similar to real rust.
 
Please note that if you wish, you can seal the painted surface to ensure no residue comes away from the wall by using Craig & Rose Furniture Effect Wax. Using wax to seal the wall will slightly alter the finished effect so we suggest testing this on a small section first.
