This acrylic fire rated sealant is specially designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke. It’s suitable for use on joints and openings located in fire rated walls and floors and creates a durable joint with reasonable levels of elasticity.
 
Certified Intumescent Sealant
When subjected to standard atmospheric conditions this sealant will cure normally, retain elasticity for joint movement and perform as expected. However, once under exposure to fire, it creates a robust fire safety seal that helps prevent the spread.
At approximately 180°C thermal activation begins. At which point the material expands (intumesce) to prevent the passage of fire and smoke for periods of up to and beyond 4 hours.
Additionally, this product will also maintain acoustic design performance within the environments where it is used.
